Christina & Scott’s Hellenic Center Wedding
If there is one thing I love, it’s a Greek wedding!
My first wedding of the 2017 season kicked off when Christina and Scott said I do, on cool spring day in Ipswich Massachusetts. The Greek community in this quaint little town nestled on the north shore of Boston is one that is close to my heart. The same church I got married in might be small but it’s able to hold oh so much love. That couldn’t be more true than for Christina and Scott.
Their families packed the pews and the balcony to witness the beautiful promise these two were making to each other. The tradition of the Greek ceremony held strong with a nod to the past generations, their Stefana (the greek marriage crowns) were the same ones used by Christina’s grandparents. I absolutely love when couples use meaningful family heirlooms as part of their wedding, it reminds us of why marriage is so important.
After the ceremony, the couple and their guests, were busting at the seam to grab hands and get on that dance floor!
The picturesque Hellenic Center, in Ipswich, was the perfect venue for their lively cocktail reception. Food and drinks were waiting on queue for guests as they arrived to the brightly decorated ballroom. After a quick stroll around the beautifully lush property for their portraits it took no time at all for the dance floor to fill up! Traditional Greek dancing, confetti and smiles were popping all night long.
I cannot wait to see what the rest of the 2017 wedding season has in store, keep checking back to be inspired for your own wedding, or just to get a front row seat to all the love!
